my laptop performs very well on this game but the mic is too damn quiet.. I have tried to turn all the mic settings up but still on counterstrike source its too quiet. Should i buy an external mic or am i doing something wrong?

Did you turn on the "Microphone Boost" option in the Windows volume control applet?

the mic is located in the back of the laptop for some reason, don't ask me why. but yes, i would suggest an external mic.
