    acer 5735 start up problems?

    Hi have an acer 5735 which was working fine untill one morning when it failed to start. The power light comes on for about 10 secs then flashes off then comes back on for 5 secs before it dies completely. The power lead is a replacement with a small led on the power box which is illuminated when pluged in and the battery light on, on the laptop also when plugged in. I have tried turning it off and holding the power button to no avail please help as i really need it thanks in advance
