    acer 5738z not power on

    hi forum,
    the problem with my acer 5738z is:
    the screen lights up but stays black, the bios is not shown, the windows logo appears and disappears
    only memtest page appears correctly, but with the words slightly distorted.
    if I connect an external monitor works perfectly
    I replaced the flat cable, I tested the monitor on another pc,and vice versa, I tried another monitor on the acer and the picture looked very distorted unreadable (the lcd came from a netbook)

    You can try the below 2 options

    1. Check with different RAM
    2. Remove Battery and Power Adapter, Hold the power button for 45 seconds and put the adapter back and try switching on
