    Any Socket P 1st Gen Penryn (T8100, T8300, T9300, T9500) will work....(Aspire 5920??)

(You already have the latest BIOS, checkout the REL_NOTE.txt file in the BIOS upgrade or download it from here, it has the entire list of BIOS updates from day 1 for the AS5920)

You can upgrade to any non extreme socket P processor which uses a 533, 667 or 800Mhz FSB. I would recommend going for the T8300, T9300 or T9500, if you can find them for a good price.

uggh, andy always beats me ;)

    Sorry K-Tron..

OP: Google for the 5920 CPU upgrade. The Penryn code was added way back in 2007, and I did recieve a PM from a guy with a 5920 who wanted to know about the X9000 non-es seller, but I am unaware of the fact if he was successful in upgrading to the Penryn XE or not....

in every acer BIOS i've researched ACER added updated CPU support as soon as it was available (within a month anyway)
