If you go into power options, and advanced settings for whatever plan you use, make sure the settings for Wireless Adapter Settings>Power Saving Mode is set to Maximum Performance on battery.

I have set to maximum wireless performance for every plan, whether plugged in or on battery, as it seems to cause disconnects if its in any kind of power saving state.

Yeap, if you are running your notebook at power saver mode. Wireless performance is set to maximum power saving on battery which kill the performance and reliability of wireless connection a lot!
