    @Folker_92

    We have the same notebooks
Did you try XP on your machine?

Thats shame for Acer that we can't choose what OS we want to use. Is it difficult for Acer company to pay programmers for making few drivers and make customers happy? I got laptop 2 days and it's still in the box, because I can't use it without drivers and I can't exchange for another because I don't have good reason, he's unbroken.

it looks like acer are not supporting xp on some of there new laptops with vista loaded.
making laptops and supplying only vista drivers :(
you may have to hunt down all the drivers you will need and hope your components have xp drivers.

    Hi,
I had the same problem. Xp drivers nowhere to find and Vista makes me mad. Does it mean there won't be those xp drivers at all?

You can always search for drivers in Internet, one by one. ACER don't have any xp drivers for my laptop, but, when I still had vista, I wrote down the names/models of all my hardware, and found 'em all..It's just a bit more work and time..

most new laptops are like this now, but the drivers are out there but you have to go to the component makers site for the driver and you may have to drop to an older ver: number :(

I installed Vista back on 6920, it's beautiful, cool sound, cinedash with acer deluxe, graphic, but it's only for job and internet now... I try to put fifa 2008 - no way, diablo 2 no way, PES no way, starcraft no way, so I give up from LAN partys on my new machine...

me too, but now it's 2 late, we'll wait, maybe one day there will be xp drivers

    Why?

List all your devices from 'device manager' here, I'll try to find drivers.

    I hope so :)

I do not have my laptop with me right now and it is aspire 6920g 6a4g25Mn.

http://www.filewatcher.com/b/ftp/ftp.acer-euro.com/notebook/aspire_6920G/vista/Drivers.0.0.html - those are vista drivers (some of them are XP too)

    I couldn't find:
video card - NVidia GeForce 9500M GS
    chipset - Intel PM965 GM965
    this should be a keyboard - CIR_ITE_IT8512E_v5046
this is Turbo Memory Driver and the Matrix Storage Manager -Robson_Intel_Robson_v1.5.0.1013

    Thanx a lot

Thanx mate. Already went through the XP installation so i didn't read those threads.

I think i was successfull. XP is working pretty good, have tried COD 4(with perfect result) which i even wasn't able to install under Vista.
Nevertheless, I still have three question marks in the device manager:

Modem Device on High Definition Audio Bus
    Unknown device
    USB Device

One of them must be fingerprint which i haven't install yet. I'm not sure of the rest. Might that be Bluetooth and modem or that IR port?? Really don't know. But I'm happy very much I got rid of Vista :)

Thax for ur help guys. You doing really good job.

The Modem is Agere..but might work with another driver. I suppose that the Unknown Device is the IR port. USB device is probably fingerprint or camera..?

Anyway check this thread(pages 2,3,4) maybe you'll find some useful info.

To get the HDD to work in SATA native, I had to extract the files from the Intel Matrix Storage installer.

I've got a .rar file of the XP drivers, it's about 300MB in size (the Bluetooth and Video inflate it quite a bit). If anyone wants them, let me know where a good free place to post it would be, and I'd be happy to upload it. Thanks.

Hi ,you can upload to www.rapidshare.com
Before that you must to make all drivers with WinRar 3 files of 100MB ,and then you have to post link here where we can download all your drivers.
    Thank you very much!
