    Shouldn't be a problem.
Certain models of the 6920G were sold with the Radeon HD 3650 stock, so it should be a relatively easy upgrade.
Try to get the card with 256MB GDDR3 memory though - it'll be faster.

I've had a look on ebay but they are really expensive, is there anywhere else that sells them cheaper? I was thinking about upgrading the cpu as well but they are even more than the video cards!!

That's because MXM cards are rather scarce and not used in most notebooks. Hence, the market is limited and people need to charge a lot to reap a profit.

Ditto for notebook CPUs. Fragile and only really purchased by techy people.
What CPU are you starting with?

will a T9550 be alright? I found one that's socket p. my current cpu is a T5800. I also found the 256mb ddr3 3650, would the laptop need a bios update?

I would not upgrade the CPU unless you are regularly using 100% of the CPU resources. If you are not, and you probably are not even while gaming, then the upgrade is pretty much a waste. Upgrading your RAM if you are using most of it, or the hard drive to an SSD, would be a more worthwhile upgrade.

T9550 is for the newer laptops, like 6930G. Your best bet is T9500 (2.6GHz), or T9300 (2.5GHz) if you consider the former for being expensive.

HD3650 should be plug'n'play, but updating your BIOS to the latest version is always recommended :)

I can't seem to find the ones you've mentioned at a reasonable price in the UK, is the T9550 really out of the question? will it run too hot or is it just not compatible with the chipset? When you say bios update you mean system bios right? mine's v1.10 atm.

I dont know what chipset you have, but if it's the PM965 then the T9550 is not supported.

Try the T8300 or the T7700.

If you look around you should find something for a good price.

This seller on ebay has some cheap ones:
