    acer 7730 doesn't boot.........HELP!

    acer 7730 doesn't boot.

    last 2 days on morning start up machine has
    done this.

    screen comes on power button is lit,
    battery and power supply led are on
    screen is lit but no display

    switch off with power button and restart.
    hdd led is on locks leds flash and machine posts
    screen is lit but no display


    switch off with power button and restart.
    hdd led is on locks leds flash and machine posts
    windows begins.


    sometimes takes more tries than this.

    have removed power and battery and held power button down for 30 secs as per service guide
    removed cmos battery and refitted after a few minutes.

    still does the same

    when running and its used everyday it works fine albeit a bit tired.

    any ideas?!
