I have one of those and had some problems like crashing which I had work done on.
The power supply has been problematic with the charging input blinking and after I removed the cover at the point the charger lead goes in, I noted that one of the cable has been broken as it is positioned near to the cover and every time the laptop cover is closed and opened the lead moves with the movement resulting in stress and eventually the connection is broken.
This appears to be a manufacturer's fault or bad design, and I intend to report it to Acer.
If you have the same problem, it is nothing to do with any software, first remove the round cover where the plug in charger goes into the machine, held with 2 tiny screws and be careful when removing them as you can easily lose them, and check that the 2 connections are not broken.
After this check, if all is ok, then the problem lies somewhere else.
