    i need help i have updated my acer using winphlash and now it wont start at all pleeeeese help
    thanks in adv :) :) :)

    If you used the Winphlash, then the most likely reason for the notebook not starting up, is the fact the BIOS is corrupted. To fix thi, you will need a new motherboard or a new EEPROM. If your notebook is still under warranty, then you may be able to get Acer to repair the fault. If it is not, then they may be able to sell you the EEPROM, and you may install it. Hope this helps.

    I'd suggest you check the local computer repair shops - a lot of them (well equipped and knowledgeable that is) have EEPROM burners and should be able to reflash it for you with the correct BIOS.

    have tryed a few in liverpool uk but they just smile and shrug

    There are a few ways round.

    1. BIOS rescue disk (i think only certain bioses can do it though)
    2. Hardware Reflash (you need to find someone who can do it)
    3. Ask Acer for a repair (they might charge you for it)
