    hello...
does acer aspire 1694wlmi support 5.1 speakers?
when I plug all 3 connectors to the notebook, it plays only the one connected to the headphones input..
maybe only some software is needed...it has some conexant AC-Link Audio sound card...
    thankz..

The three connectors at the front are microphone, audio out and.. er. i forgot the other one.

Only ONE of those are for connecting speakers/ headphones

most modern soundcards support 5.1 but I'll double check for the 1694

The mic port is also a toslink port, if your speakers handle optical 5.1 then your in luck.

I think it should be working properly, but it doesnt...

it seems to me that some audio software (like soundmax on my desktop) is missing-but I dont have any and I wasnt able to find any on internet.
does anybody have the same notebook ane have tried 5.1 speakers?
