    acer aspire 5000 lcd brightness problemm

    I have acer aspire 5000 .it has 15"4 lcd.my bro has acer aspire 3000.he also has same 15"4 lcd.i checked the model# and both are same.but my lcd is little less brighter then my bro lcd.when i plug bro's lcd in my laptop i can see full brightness but when i plug my lcd back it is little less bright as my bro's lcd.i checked setting and it is ok.can any1 tell me what is the problem.thx

    maybe your backlight is weaker,, or starting to flake out... i'm no LCD expert,, but i think the BACKLIGHT is responsible for the intensity of the light

    and if you have plugged in a different LCD, but you KNOW the 2 LCDs are the exact same LCD model and manufacturer.. then it's gotta be the back light or the inverter... IMO
