can I upgrade a 5100 mk36 cpu to a dual core TL52 ,they both use S1 socket, but what about the bios,do I need to upgrade the bios? Thanks in advance for your help

No you don't need to upgrade your BIOS
. The BIOS for the 5100 series supports all processors that use socket s1 therefore if you went from the single core turion mk-xx series to the turion x2 tl-xx series the BIOS will detect the new x2 processor automatically. As always remember if you change your processor you will void your warranty.
