    acer aspire 5102 frozen on user-name page

    When my daughter pulled out the Kingston DataTraveler 1 Gb the screen went white, then some lines. Now my acer aspire 5102 is frozen on the page that says: "to begin, click your user name" the mouse won't move. How do I bring it back to life?

    Reboot. Just after the BIOS screen flashes out, tap the f8 key until you get a list of options. Choose 'use last good known configuration', and see if that helps.
