    hi guys any information would be appreciated just tried to upgrade my bios with latest version from acer through windows half way through flashing windows just froze come to reboot but all im getting is black screen tried fn+esc fn+all other keys but nothing any ideas ??? thanx

    Hey kennyk11 - it sounds like you've bricked your laptop with an incomplete BIOS flash.
    Hopefully, the crisis recovery method shown here will work for you. Otherwise, it's time to call Acer and get a replacement motherboard.

    There's a reason why Acer says not to upgrade your BIOS unless instructed to by them - if it goes wrong, your system is bricked.
