It has started doing something peculiar. When I turn the machine on, the screen remains blank, like it's dead but the power light is green. Sometimes it works fine however.
I can hear the fan momentarily then it stops. There is no overheating as this happens on a cold start. Have tried rebooting, but it's of no help. This is kind of an intermittent problem. Is anyone familiar with ACER warranty service with issues like this? I'm in the Atlanta rea by the way.

yes, yes that happens to me, it is because the 5570z/ 5570-2997 runs Vista Home Premium but uses a Dual core Pentium, which makes it unstable, I have yet to change my processor and make it more stable, apparently this is because the Pentium is built on old technology, just another core is slapped on, therefore, you should change your processor.
