So I have been looking into upgrading my Acer aspire 5610-4537 laptop every single place I looked said something different I finally decided I would trust the website www.crucial.com and there crucial system scanner tool which worked perfect and was correct even thought everyone else said it was wrong. My CPU had 2 caches for 2x512mb to make a 1gig of ram which is no where near enough for this laptop to be running windows vista or even thinking of running multiple programs. So after I ran the crucial scanner tool it told me what ram I had currently and how much I could add to my system it picked 2 GB 200pin ddr2 sodimm 256x64 pc2-5300 dual die so I ordered two of them to bring my system to 4gigs. I was a little worried because I do only have a 32bit operating system but all I had to was unplug the old chips and insert the new ones and press power and that was it no updates no changing bios or operating system so I would highly recommend using this web site. Well I hope this helps someone out there.
