    acer aspire 6920 bios 1.16moded flashing

    OK guys i have an aspire 6920 and have just got a Intel t9300 core 2 duo
    to replace the crappy stock cpu that came with my laptop
    i currently have acer standard bios of 1.16 and would like to enable the VT support and other hidden menus that acer have locked away

    i have made my crisis recovery disk on a flash drive just incase something goes wrong.

    can i use the windows flasher that came with with the bios file downloaded from their support site, to flash the moded 1.16 bios file
    or is it safer to use the dos one?

    i used the flasher that came with the v1.16 bios file didnt have a problem at all. btw i flashed it for the reason of buying a new gpu and i have no idea what is VT and the other settings that are now on bios screen

    thanks for the advice i will make a recovery disk this weekend
    and try flashing in the moded 1.16 bios, now that i have a t9300 in my notebook i can test out windows 8. but doubt il stick with it. it will be used in a VM so i can offer support to my clients when they decide to upgrade to be part of the crowd. im dreading it.

    sorry ment to say intel vt-x support.
