    Okay heres the question..
I just bought a 6930 for 400 bucks. thought it was a pretty good deal at the time but not so sure now. Im tryin to run dragon age and modern warfare on it with no joy.. turns out this laptop has a crappy intel integrated vid card. i need a nvidia or ati. but after much research seems i cant upgrade to that card because no slot. not even sure if thats totally true. from what i see i need a 6930g mobo to upgrade. Im contemplating swapping this mobo with with a g. is that possible. im not sure if its economically feasable either. that would prob cost me over 300 bucks for parts. should i scrap this idea, sell this laptop and buy a better comp?any suggestons are greatly appreciated. now i have to research laptops. anyone know of any smokin deals on current laptops with decent vid specs?

    thx again

Motherboard isn't going to come cheap plus even after you get it there will be a lot needed to do to actually get it up and running, you should of gotten the 6930G full stop if you wanted the graphics card although there are throttling problems with that series.

You should probably just scrap the idea and go for a new laptop. Maybe a Dell Studio 1555?

The 6930G doesn't have throttling problems, I believe that was the 6920G.

Oh right... I guess I just kinda assumed it had a throttling problem, since I noticed 6935G owners also seemed to have been posting in the throttle fix thread.

The 6930G seems to be the one in the series that avoided any throttling issues.
But even then, they don't impact your regular day-to-day operation, and can be damn near cured through undervolting.
