    Hi to all.

I have acer aspire 7740zg. Since like 2 month it would turn on but i could not see anything on the screen. I thought LED was dead but i tried to take it a part and to see maybe lcd cable was disconnected or something like that. I clean it and attach it all together, and it did turn on but with red instead of black colour. I could see the bios and everything but the colour was all mixed up. Everything else i did didnt change that fact the screen remained red insted of black.
Then later my friend had broken laptop so i took his led 17.3 and connected it with my laptop. I get white screen. This time it also turn on but all white.
So i figured it is probobly lcd cable that is damaged. I bought one from 7736zg but when i connected this one i did not get anything. All remained black. Are they compatible? Or i have to find specific lcd cable from 7740zg?
Also do you think it is lcd cable that is dead/broken or maybe motherboard?
One more thing, when i connect laptop on other screen, tv or something it works perfectly.

    Thank you for answers!
