Recently got an acer aspire one 10" netbook. Its not the fastest thing but it is good enough for taking notes in class, and to use for watching videos off my micro projector.

Hooked up in my bedroom to watch whatever videos i have since i dont have a tv in the bedroom and sometimes its just nice to lay in bed and watch.

As you can see he projector is pretty small even compared to my 10" netbook.

The price of both together is only $600ish so i figure its a good deal since i can get a pretty good 60-70" image. The lights need to be dim for best results though, the sun or lights can affect the image is its shining directly onto the wall your projecting on. Just thought i'd share my little set up!
    ENJOY!
Bought this unit at amazon.com and the projector at aaxatech.com

I've heard some netbooks don't have enough power to send video to a projector. Are you able to show a picture of the projector duplicating the screen on your netbook?

Nice! That's awesome. I love seeing people take advantage of unique tech combos. Your setup is pretty common for business but I don't think a lot of folks do it for home media.

You should consider taking it to the next level with audio and control.

try gmote for your android phone to control your media from a relaxing lazy position without even having to get up to switch media with the netbook. other suggestions are xbmc or orb (both of which are more then just remotes)

    for audio I highly suggest:
    Logitech Z305 for continued portability
    or
Logitech AudioHub for an awesome stationary solution if you trust your roommates. whats cool is you can still pack it up easily to take home for a weekend or with you if you have to impress a girl.

i'd really like to see how everything's going after a few months... those led projectors don't ware out as fast as old school bulb projectors do they? how's the contrast for video?

Here is a picture of me watching how i met your mother. I'm pretty satisfied with the picture quality.

I was thinking of possibly getting a jawbone jambox but i've never seen or used one before. I want to keep this "setup" as small as possible =)
