    ok, i orderd a harddrive caddy, u know the ones you can put in the cd drive and have a hdd in it,
    well i recived it today and i was happy, i plugged it it, and what the , i cant start my laptop, plug it out, power on but now i have a beautyful white screen with a black bar down the middle, and every time i press ENTER, the screen dims, is it the gfx or MB,

    yes ofcourse, windows is on the other drive, windows7

    but what does that have to do with a white screen and a black bar down the middle, and not showing the acer logo on startup

    Go in BIOS (F2 at start-up) under "Boot" menu arrange boot priority devices :)

    and again i say what does that have to do with the laptop not showing the acer logo and showing a white screen with a big fat black bar down the middle

    and with the caddy cdrom to harddrive not even able to turn on


    edit: i threw my gfx in the oven, 180 degrees 10 minutes, and my laptop works now,

    i never had a problem with booting, i had the problem when i plugged in the dvd to hdd caddy the light did not turn on, there was no sign of life when it was in, then i plugged it out and i got this fantastic picture, a white screen with a black bar down the middle

    but as i said i threw the gfx in the oven and now it works again
