    acer extensa 5620 and bios upgrade 1.31?

    Has any one done this bios upgrade on on they extensa and have it work right ?

    I did on friend and the touch pad stoped working and need to flash back to 1.29

    Have extensa 5620-6389 and just checked bios, it's 1.22 from oct 2007... originally on laptop not updated.

    From what I've read only update bios if really need.

    Yes but have you try try the 1.31 i want know if spefic laptop issue or bad bios build

    No, have not tried 1.31.

    Suggest keep original bios unless really need to update... did flash back to 1.29 resolve problem?

    Acer themselves don't recommend bios update unless needed.

    Is there a reason [sw or hw] need to update bios?

    yes flash back to 1.29 did fix the problem i was wound if was bad bios from acer or was something with machine

    I want new kbc part bios the came with it

    care to try flash it won,nt kill you laptop? might stop touch pad but all do download the old bios and run reflash no issue

    I just installed the 1.31 Bios... everything works fine here. The keyboard and mouse wouldn't respond right after I flashed it; I just waited a minute or two, and the system automatically rebooted. Everything booted back up and worked great. I'm assuming the temporary lockup is due to the kbc update. Thanks for the heads-up on the new BIOS :)

    I guess try reflash it the the keyboard always worked it was just the mouse

    even after shutdown laptop remove the battery it did.nt work i had use usb mouse to flash back bios then the touchpad worked

    Hello to everybody.... lets see... i have an acer extensa 5620-6266 and have a nice problem, and is similar about the bios update.. the keyboard and mouse pad stop work and i have to remove the pack to shut off it. i updated with the 1.31 but the problem still, and i re flased to the 1.29 but still so i really want to know whats wrong... what version will solve this problem?? thanks
