    i have a acer extensa 5620-6830 i got from bb last xmas i want to reinstall vista . everything goes well untill its about to install it doesnt find the hard drive . i lost my recovery cds but im using a vista ultimate cd i got for doin some surveys for ms . if anyone could help me figure out wats wrong it would be great . thanks in adavnce

    do you get an error screen with a number?
    have you moved the cd to first boot device ?
    also just try this...restart laptop at acer screen hold down Alt+F10 keep pressing that key combination.

    the disk you have may just be an upgrade disk and not bootable :(

    its complete cd of windows ultimate so its not a upgrade . i think i need the drivers for the hd or something
