    hi new here

I have a acer aspire 5552 laptop and the first thing was to upgrade my memory due to win 7 x64 being on it,ok i have 3 warranty stickers on it one on hdd+memory cover one on a screw hold and the other on the wifi cover (i think) ok so is there anyway i can upgrade the memory without braking my warranty as im not going to send it off just for a 5 min memory upgrade???

If you can change it without breaking the stickers sure. The acer 5550 is fairly old though isn't it? Your warranty must be near it's end?

If I were you I would screw the warranty and just upgrade the RAM and any other component you feel like changing (wi-fi, HDD etc) I am surprised they cover these basic components with warranty stickers! Now on the CPU I can understand but not on RAM lol

how do you know they heat up quicker ? HDD usually have temp sensors on them and run around 50-60C so 55C is a happy medium. Never seen temp sensors on memory.

For Acer, your warranty will not be void so long as you do not mess around with the processor (applying thermal paste is fine). For almost everything else your warranty will be intact.
