Hi,
I have an Acer aspire 5315 and am happy with it, I have burned recovery DVD's and am now thinking do I really need the pqservice partition as it is 11.71GB, this is alot of space for something I don't think I will need now that I have the recovery DVD's. Another issue is how do you make windows vista disc from the pqservice partition?

you can't to my knowledge make a VISTA CD from the PQservice partition..
i have read some posts in the SONY thread about creating a VISTA CD from the WINDOWS folder on the HDD... but that was back in march,,,
my advice would be use the search feature below to search for
CREATING VISTA DISK FROM HARD DRIVE
or check the info in this thread... http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=240320
once you have made the RESTORE DISKS you can get rid of the pqservice partition..
this info might be useful to you....

no problem.. my family and i own 3 of these laptops...
and getting rid of VISTA and upgrading to a CORE 2 DUO cpu will make the 5315 into an amazing little machine..
mine came w/ VISTA BACIS and 1 gig of memory... and a CELERON 530... it could barely run VISTA,,,, now i have a speedy little laptop that i wouldn't sell because i couldn't replace it with better for the same ammount of money
heck i can't even get the laptop now for less than $449... and i bought it for $348us,,, then after upgrades i have $500 invested. -
