I just sent back my AS1410 because the trackpad buttons stopped working.
Received a voicemail that my unit has damage not covered by the standard warranty and the upper and lower case need to be replaced at a cost of $199. That's half the cost of the dang laptop!![]()
What gives? Is there someone to argue on this front that the standard warranty should cover the trackpad?

Good thoughts, now the challenge has been getting someone on the phone who can actually give that explanation...

They'll probably say liquid damage.
I bet you 1 rep point.
acer standard warranty doesn't cover non-working trackpad?
