    whats with the dissing, many people have acer laptops that they like.


    and many computer companies don't invent their own technology.

    ok you're right my bad. acer does not suck, however my negative feelings towards them are justified with my situation, which involved me paying extra money a 3 year warranty. after 2 years the whole laptop fails and won't turn on for some reason, and Acer explains to me in response that i had a never purchased extended warranty, and from there they basically told me that they are not responsible for the laptop failuree and i will have to deal with it independently!!! :mad:

    once again i apologize for generalizing so much from my individual experience; acer is a good laptop company. i am simply pissed off from my experiences with them ;)

    If it makes you feel better...

    I had a Toshiba noted book that i paid $3,000.00 + 300.00 to extend the warranty to 3-years. On the 4th year my video card goes. :mad:

    It is not Acer, Toshiba etc... It happens with all brands... Either you get a good one or you get :mad: .

    no but they never registered that i paid extra for a 3 years warranty. it broke down within the warranty days, however, THEY NEVER RECORDED I HAD WARRANTY!

    Did you register your notebook with acer? That is a straightforward way to have seen if the extra warranty you paid for was placed on the system or not.

    You should have some type of sales receipt, right? Look through your paperwork, maybe you can find proof of the 3 year warranty

    .....dig out your reciept and contact the company who you purchased the laptop with extended warranty from first!

    Yes did you big this from big box store or reseller

    if got from resaler you have make sure register they have little book with in fo on registering if you don,nt then it stander warrenty

    also if got sale invoice say have talk to who sold ya it


    you shound hate acer just cause some did,nt register you extend warrenty

    am sure you had they wound be more will to help ya

    guys this was a few years ago already...i was just trying to explain myself for saying acer sucks...there's nothing i can do now, i've switched from acer and now have a dell 1720 which is awesome
