    acer travelmate 2420 whashed out picture?

    i have a acer laptop it got kicked the other night by my son the picture is now all washed out like no real detail or sharp color it works fine no visible cracks on screen or anewere else
    it is vertualy unusable as the writing is very light and cant be read it looks like the brightness and contrast are all over the place any idears?

    the backlight got knocked out of position? I'd guess.

    only repair I know of is replacing the entire panel or computer.

    i just tryed on external monitor and its fine
    can the backlight be repossitioned?
    or do i need to buy a new lcd screen?
