Dear folks,
i've got a 4402wlmi acer with 1.03 bios, and cannot boot from any usb device. Has somebody any information or idea, how to fix this issue? I don't want to use 1.20 bios, because it will decrease the gpu's freq.
thanks a lot,
kuf

You don't have USB boot capability because of the 1.03 right? Is there other bios version, between 1.03 and 1.20 that you could try flash to?
By the way, the BIOS for your TM 4002 is actually the bios for TM 4000 right? -
there are only one bios for all 4400 modells, unfortunatelly.
i'm not sure, that 1.20 will fix the boot problem, i just think because i read at 1.20 bios's changelog:
- 2. Add CF to IDE card Boot.
I know, it's not usb, but maybe related with. -
4400 BIOS? Not 4000? Are you sure?
If yes, I found v1.11, v1.12 and v.1.18 BIOS. There is no mention of usb boot support in 1.11 and 1.12, the 1.18 has no release notes so I can't tell you what's new there..If you want one of these version I'll upload it for you. -
"By the way, the BIOS for your TM 4002 is actually the bios for TM 4000 right?"
I never said this and i think 4000 travelmate series bios won't work with 4400 series.
MOD! Sorry... the topic's name is bad( sorry

OK, now it does make sense
So..you want to try v1.18? As I said no release notes there so I can't tell you what's new..but it seems that it's the previous version of 1.20 and will not have this annoying thing that you said 1.20 have - decrease gpu freq..
