I haven't noticed any matte LCDs in Acer notebooks in recent years.
It's remotly possible that some netbooks might be using them but that's about it.

This may not answer the question, but I've just gone looking for machine with a matte screen to run tests on Win7 32-bit alongside my 64-bit Win7 Acer 5536.

The machine I found at a price I could afford was a Lenovo Thinkpad SL510. So far I've been very pleased.
It doesn't have the numeric keypad, so the trackpad is central (ie where I want it) and the screen is excellent. It cost less than most Acers, and the build quality isn't up to normal Thinkpad standard, but at least matches the 5536. Performance seems identical to the Acer, but, unlike that machine, it doesn't burn my knees.

I feel this way too: sadly Acer just lost me to Samsung, which are dearer for less spec. Sigh... I found reviews of both the Acer Aspire Maii and Caii which stated they had matt screens but all the sellers I contacted said the ones they were selling were glossy. I hate glossy; impractical rubbish.

As long as you don't need touch you will be able to still find matte but as soon as you decide you do want touch then don't bother looking anymore, there is only one I know of and that is the Lenovo x1 touch and I'm not even sure how good that screen really is.
