This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I just bought this acer aspire 3002 not book withamd sempron,40gb hd,256mb ddr, for my son.It was used but in good condition.The HD was wipped clean and the acer software from origonal CD reinstalled.It is running very slow and there is no sound even with head phones.The sound card is a realteck AC97.The mute is yurned off,the computer says it is working properly.I checked for new drivers with windows,and all is good.I dont know what else to try.
