    hi,

does anyone know if Acer created or have plans for successor for Travelmate 8481? 14", thin, light, long battery life, business-oriented.

I've only seen it with Sandy Bridge, so was wondering if there is any direct replacement or similar newer models (iGPU versions only)

    thanks

I've bought a Travelmate 8481g 2yrs ago and still I consider it one of the best light notebook around.
Two of the things that I love:
    - it's powerful and light, without sacrificing ports: it has a regular RJ45 connector (no adapters needed), 4 USB ports (3x USB 2.0 + 1 USB 3.0), e-SATA, HDMI, VGA....
    - it's compact and robust enough for my travelling but let me stay productive with a 14" screen size and a good keyboard.

I'm wondering too if there will be a worthy successor.
