This isn't just an Acer topic but I figured I ask here first. I've been using my laptop at work during my lunch hour to smurf and catch up on emails and stuff. Usually after I finish using it (end of my lunch hour) I pack everything up and put it back into my knapsack (laptop included). Is this bad if I put it away immediately after use? Should I shut down my smurfing sooner so I can let the laptop cool a bit out in the open before putting it back into the knapsack?
The laptop after use is obviously fairly warm to the touch on the bottom of the unit, and as you can figure out once the knapsack is zipped up there will be no air circulation at all when the laptop is in there.
I just want to know what you guys think. BTW I've been putting it away right after I use it on numerous occasions and I haven't seen a problem at all from doing this, just want to make sure this isn't bad for it down the road.
TIA.

Hi,
If the computer is properly shut down, there is no problem. Think about it: there is no air circulation in the knapsack, but there doesn't need to be any. The laptop won't get hotter than it was when you shut it down. It's just that it would take longer for it to cool down. -
Yeah, now that you mention it I see what you're saying. Guess I'm just paranoid about heat soaking the components and stuff by packing it up right after use in the k/sack.
I like my laptop and I just don't want anything I might do unintentionally (when I think I'm taking good care of it) to cause it to konk out down the road.
I still would like more opinions about this so please pitch in with your thoughts.
