This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    aspire 20XX - wanna email button blinking?

    Set up the auto email check via Launch Manager utility (E-mail detection). Now every time this software detect new email in your mailbox the button blinks. That is very convenient since you can have your email software not running all the time.

    I guess this is something similar to MSN Messenger. When it's running in the background, it will inform you when you get mail.

    yes and no
    This is very small process that doesn't occupy much of ram.
    Another convenient thing is that it won't download messages.
    It simply connects to POP3 server and checks for new email.

    I find it quite useful.
