aspire 3680 reformat trouble

hi am new here ;-)

please does anybody know why my laptop (3680) is hanging after doing alt f10 to reformat it ?

the problem is that when the acer install erecovery solution is loading at the final stages it just stops at 13/14.i can get it off the screen by opening task manager and shutting down the acer tour and another acer thing (which i cant remember what thats called) under processes which enables me to work on it temp but as soon as i restart it starts again but then it hangs at 1/2 (it looks to me as if there is something missing with the last two bits of what ever it is that acer erecovery solution is trying to load)

my local pc shop said its a hardware issue but i dont believe them as windows is loaded ok its just the acer thing ?? might just be trying to sell me a new pc ????

if i go to msconfig and diable the acer start up stuff will that upset things too much and will i be able to reformat in the future if i do that ?

Call Acer to send it for service ...
a permanent fix are better than hokus pokus by your self .
