just downgraded to XP from vista. got everything working except the wireless. verified that i have a broadcom bcm94311mcg. tried to install the drivers using the setup.exe that came with the download from acer support but it just stops running. doesn't come up with an error message or anything. it just stops running after the license screen.

oh also, when i remove the "network controller" item that comes up as unknown in device manager, the driver setup program brings up the "new device found" dialogue before crashing.

spent several hours on this already and kinda runnin out of ideas. any help would be appreciated.

Can't help you, but what you find out will help me. Planning on purchasing this computer in about 3 hours and downgrading it to XP Pro.
