I've been looking for for a cheap laptop for general internet/work/maybe a bit of gaming use and ran across this one. On a cursory comparison with others I've looked at it seems like a great deal - good specs for the price. Is there a reason why it's so cheap?

    specs:

    intel dual core 2Ghz
    2 GB ram
    Intel GMA X4500 graphics
    160 GB hard disk

Price 5000 hong kong dollars/645 USD

everything else at the same price seems to be 1.6 Ghz with less ram and lower spec graphics

You can't play latest games with Intel X4500IGP . Try to buy notebook with nVIDIA or ATI dedicated VGA card. This notebook is good for basic office tasks and for movie viewing :)

I bought this one in the US in January for $399 at Best Buy (plus an additional $100 off coupon!) and have upgraded the RAM to 4GB though I now know that with 32bit Vista, only 3GB can been seen. This is a great computer for the price and I can run all Adobe CS4 suite programs simultaneously with Autocad 2010 no problems.
