i was browsing the aspire series and saw these two 14" laptops with the SEXY wxga+ (1440x900) resolution. they also have nice gpu's (x1600, gf7600) and seem to be well designed laptops.

will these even be released in the usa? if so, when? i'm kind of excited :D

Hope they aren't space heaters like the Acer 5670.

I already asked this question about the 5680, nobody replied :-(

By the way, the 5590 display is WXGA+ but the 5680 is WXGA only.

I expect the 5590 will be considerably more expensive...

well jeeze now that i read it better it isn't even a 14"

the 14 and 17 inch models are the only ones i can find offering wxga+ which is kinda strange.

the 5580, not the 5680 must be where i mixed it up. it has wxga+ but only a gf7300 :(

At www.ncix.com they have the 5680 listed as shipping soon, so it should be available to the US once it becomes available, since ncix sells to the US even though it's Canadian based. I'm interested in this laptop as well so i'll be keeping an eye on it.
