    aspire 5670 dvd burner

    hi i got a problem with mi burner when i try to burn a dvd,the max speed that i get is 2x when the dvd-r's are 8x speed how can i fix this up?? i don't want to burn that slow! it takes for ever? any idea on how to fix this???

    Try some different discs. Taiyo Yudens are widely considered to be the best blanks. Verbatims are a good second choice and easier to find if you are buying locally. What drive is it?

    i got LG dvd-r's that have 8x capabiliti and i used to burn at 8x before with this same dvd-r'..... the drive is

    Perhaps deleting the ide drivers will help. Windows will find and re-install them again when re-booted.

    Sorry, but there really needs to be more shouting over this. The Matshita DVD burner will not exceed 4x burning speed no matter what the disc. Acer will NOT recognise the fault, only insist on RMA the machine which is to the customers inconvenience.
    Everyone should email Acer and complain loudly that this burner is not working to spec.
