    aspire 5672WLMi + War3 DOTA error

    im not sure if this is an appropriate question to post here but i own the aspire 5672 with the x1600 graphics card and i seem to have trouble playing DOTA on warcraft 3. i was just wondering if someone was in the same situation (owns the 5672series and gets the following error playing DOTA) could help me fix the problem.

    FATAL ERROR!

    Program: c:\warcraft iii\war3.exe
    Exception: 0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 001B:1503BDB0

    The instruction at '0x1503BDB0' referenced memory at '0x00133003'.
    The memory could not be 'read'.


    i've read many many different posts online concerning this issue and have tried a bunch of different things but i have yet to find a solution. so i was wondering if someone was in the same situation as me had a fix for it. thanks for reading~

    I get this issue too. It's not your hardware's fault, you just have to wait for a patch to come out and pray they fix it.

    have you tryed upgrading you ati drivers. Probably wouldn't hurt trying. I recommend the ATI Mobility 6.10 or maybe try the new 6.11's. I unfortunatly do not have this game. But trying thes drivers may help. Just remember to do a system restore point just incase.

    Works fine for me on my x700.

    Pretty sure, as mentioned, its a software problem.

    tried the new 6.11 catalyst drivers but still no fix. argh, i give up :(

    I used the omega drivers and have had no problems playing the latest version of Warcraft 3 frozen throne.
    Which is by far one of the best games ever, I wish they would make a 4 instead of World of Lamos.
