Apologies if this has been covered elswhere. Purchased above notebook and have seen there is a bay for a 2nd hdd, However when i came to install 2nd drive there was no connector thingy in the bay. My question is can this notebook have a 2nd drive? and do I have to purchase an adaptor/connection piece?

    many thanks

I don't have 7535G but I have 6930G that has 2 HDD bays. I had to buy a metal bracket for the second HDD and new cover in order to put the second HDD. But the SATA port was already there. Maybe, it would have helpful if you can post a photo of the second bay.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any info about the second bay. It looks like exactly like my second bay but without the connectors. I can't understand why you can't put a second HDD. BTW, Acer's website for the laptop is reporting one hard drive where for all the other 7xxx and 8xxx series (except the 7735z) can get two sata HDDs. It must be infuriating that Acer did that.

If you really want second HDD, search in eBay for "laptop sata connector", then, you'll need a little soldering and if you are lucky (means the BIOS can recognize the second HDD) you'll have two HDDs :D
