Hi,
newbie here
i'm having some problems: recently bought myself an aspire 7552g (haven't come across any topics about this one in this forum yet, don't know if it's a good or a bad thing?)
but i've been having some wireless network problems:
when i startup my laptop, it can not find any connection,
next thing i have to do is do a troubleshoot in the network configuration center, then have the adapter reinstalled, reboot, and THEN it works. I have the same problem when it comes out of sleep mode.
the wireless adapter is a broadcom 802.11n
I already
- reinstalled the driver
- contacted acer customer support
but neither of these solutions did anything for me (acer offered to pick it up and repair it, but I thought I'd search some forums before losing it for a couple of months)
anyone had this problem, or have some advice for me?
much appreciated

anyone?
anyone at all -
did you try disable/enable wlan adapter when it comes back from sleep?

Buy.com - Acer Aspire AS7552G-6436 17.3" Notebook, AMD Phenom II N950 (2.10GHz), 4GB DDR3 Memory, 640GB HDD, DVD Super Multi-Drive, AMD Radeon HD 6650M, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
And I have had it for 1 full day and I already having the same wireless network problems as you described
Its a broadcom 802.11n wireless adapter. And like you at random time it stops working. Also when coming out of sleep mode internet stops working.
I think I may have to return this laptop
I was just wondering if you got this fixed and how?
disable/enable wlan adapter when it comes back from sleep seems to fix it for a short time. -
Update Wi-Fi driver and make sure that in advanced settings of your power profiles in Windows Wi-Fi card is set to no power-saving/max performance.
-
Also how do you know this will fix it?
The driver on Acer's web site sucks!
Where did this driver come from?
Thanks for the link to this updated driver.
I will try it and see what happens. -
I don't know for sure but these are two things most likely to get in the way- Windows' 7 aggressive power management and drivers.
The driver is for Windows 7- for all I know 32 & 64 bit but if it's not compatible it will simply refuse to install. Its not like youre taking any risks so its worth a shot. -
I ended up just ordering the Intell 6200 wireless card.
