    Hi there,

can anyone tell me why the device manager tells me that my drivers are up to date, and yet software tells me that they are not?

The acer sight does not seem to have the latest driver updates that software indicates is out there. For example Realtech High Definition audio?

What software is telling you that there are new drivers?

If it is DriverAgent - beware, that app is borderline rogueware!

Thanks for getting back to me .NetRoller 3D. There have been several of them, and, yes, I may be suspicious of them too. But I keep seeing drivers that are a few years newer than the ones in my aspire 8730G, yet at the Acer site, they only show drivers that are quite old.

Why are there new drivers showing up, but my Device manager telling me that they are all up to date?

    Any suggestions - and Thanks

Device manager checks with Windows Update so if a driver is not there (and most of them are not) it will claim it's the latest.
Acer do not update drivers not provide proper support- that;s how they keep the prices down.
I would recommend this website for driver updates.
