    Computer goes to "startup repair".
    "Windows cannot repair automatically"
"No System restore points have been created"!
If I use my recovery dvd's all data and apps will be lost.

Recovery-cds.com sells a "boot Disk" that will allow me to retrieve all data etc before reinstalling Vista to original install.......could this be TRUE?

The System Restore point problem happens because your loading of Acer Arcade Instant-On, which uses Windows XP Embedded, causes your restore points to be deleted.
Like I said in the other topic, go to http://www.knoppix.org/, download a DVD image, burn it, and boot from it. It'll be a little weird since it'll be a Linux system, but it won't affect your system unless you want it to - like copying all your data from your Vista partition over to an external hard drive! And it's FREE, unlike that website you link to.
