I have an Aspire 8930g, and Windows 7 O/S. Internal microphone works okay but when I plug in a headset mic to the audio front jack the headset mic will not work even though the pop-up message tells me the mic has been connected. However, if I plug the headset mic into the Line-in front jack it will work on Skype (even though Skype is set to Realtek HD audio mic output and not Line-in), but not when I try to use Windows Sound Recorder. In Sound/Recording both the mic and mic boost settings are fully up (also in Line-in). Have tried everything in the Acer HD Audio Management. There is no option to disable front speakers and no yellow folder above the mic icons. (Realtek HD audio version 6.0.1.5983). Any help would be much appreciated as I have been trying to solve this for four days!!!!
