Hmmm I thought it might be to good to be real...
This aspire I now have proudly states it has dolby digital live..

yet the sound is tinny :( ...and i cant find any adjustment for bass or treble only level control..

The chipset is Realtek 268...anyone have this same problem..know of a fix to make it sound better than cheap portable radio from the 70's ?

    Cheers

hehe yes a subwoofer let me check...arrrhh thats why :)

...it is a bit of a let down though..I mean the sound quality.

Ive still got my old gateway 9500 (circa 1999) ...yamaha sound...it is better...sad to say...actually way better than the tinny low volume output of my new aspire :(

I guess you pay your money and make your choices.

    Hi Patrick..yes I do
Realtek gives an options for a setting with bass but not manually adjustable..not sure the 5720 speakers are up to it any way.

    Cheers
