    big XP sound driver problem, on a 5920G

    High guys!

    I have decidedto turn down vista and go for XP insted, i installed all the drivers i could find on this forum, on acers homepage and around the web. BUT i cant get any sound. I have installed R1.84 Realtek High Definition Audio driver, but i can't get it to work, what have i done wrong?

    Nvida drivers, and all the other stuff works.

    BTW, i have two (?) on the device manager, one oknown PCI device and one oknown somthing device.

    I had the same problem. Get the realtek drivers again and go to [drivers]\MSHDQFE\Win2K_XP\us install the appropriate fix in there for sp1/2.

    To be safe I would uninstall the realtek drivers in control panel/add remove software, apply the fix, then reinstall the realtek drivers.

    If you installed xp sp3 I do not know how to get it working as it will not let you install the fix. I originally had sp3 installed and I had to get a sp2 iso in order to get it working properly
