    bios upgrade for acer travelmate 2200

    hi has anyone ugraded the bios in a acer travelmate 2200 and if so does it give more boot options eg. can it let you boot from an external source such as a flash drive or an external usb drive. please reply if you have cheers!!

    Sorry I don't have a Travelmate 2200 but I found BIOS v1.07:

    There is newer version, 1.12, but some users have problems with it(dead screen, dead laptop...). And v1.07 seem stable...

    quickest way to find out is to Flash the BIOS to the new version and then check...

    thanks guys but need to know if more boot options are in the flash before taking the chance in case i end up with i dead laptop according to all reports

    Yeah I understand that, but Travelmate 2200 is not a new model(as far as I know..) and the chance that someone has it and flashed his/her bios is really low..

    EDIT: You can always send e-mail to ACER Support and ask them while waiting for an answer here...
