    I have a acer laptop Aspire 8930G .

    I just reformatted with windows 7 .

It has an integrated webcam. On the Acer download page for this notebook, there are 2 different webcam drivers and utilities.

1 is by Bison and 1 is by Suyin.

Which is better? Anybody have experience with these two?

i get error when i try to use on msn it says it have been usuing by other programs but i dont so wich one is the right one for aspire 8930G

Goto control panel->system->device manager-> imaging devices-> acer cristal eye webcam->properties->Details->Hardware Ids.

Then download both drivers. Look in the .inf files of the drivers for values you see in Hardware Ids. The one which has your values is the one you need to install.

Other option is to try both drivers one at a time and test them with your favorite program which uses webcam. The one which works is the correct one. :)

One thing to mention- these are not drivers- these are just applications.
Windows 7 uses its own drivers and technically you don't even need any of those apps- if you for example use Skype- you use its interface not the Acer app. Still AndrejaKo is right- you don't really have a choice- you should use the application from the manufacturer of the webcam. It's not like one is better than another- different cameras = different applications (although it's possible that both would work).

Interesting. I had to install drivers on my laptop. Guess 8930G is different.

Really? Maybe it depends on a laptop. I use Win 7 64bit and device manager shows diver for VideoWebCam to be released by MS and dated 2006-06-21 meaning it's a default windows driver.
